How does the buying process work?
Our team will help you find any wine you are looking for.
After placing an order or a request, we will contact our suppliers and get all the prices and bottle conditions.
We will get back to you as soon as possible with all the information regarding wines and transport and set the final order.
Where do your wines come from?
Gemma has a trusted supplier chain all around the world which includes wineries, shops, private clients or restaurants, even though we always first try to source wines directly from the producer.
All our partners provide us with all the details regarding story of the bottle, i.e. where it was stocked and how, and also detailed pictures.
However, some wineries prefer to uncork and check the bottle, fill it again and close it with new cork.
Do you give me a detailed analysis of the status of the bottles?
Yes, we can provide you with the detailed status of every bottle included level, labels, colour, cap and cork.
We also suggest you or not a specific vintage, we keep track of our client bottle impressions and we can share it with you.
How long should I wait to receive the wines?
It depends, our listings are sourced all over the world and we try to consolidate wines as much as we can to keep prices low.
If you need wine urgently we can set up express shippings.
Obviously the more wines you want the harder it is to have them in a short time.
Do you have a retail store?
No, Gemma doesn’t have any physical store.
Do you have a minimum order?
No, we do not have a minimum order. We could apply a surcharge for orders under 200 euro.
Will someone support me throughout the process?
Yes, you will have a personal sales manager that will follow you throughout the sales process, including suggesting or not vintages and helping you in all your needs.
Do you do corporate gifting or wedding wines?
Yes, feel free to ask any further information to our sales team
How do you manage shipments?
We always help our clients to find the best shipping solutions, both for the prices and the timing.
Can I organize the pick up with a trusted transporter?
Yes, we can pack your order and make it available for your transporter.
How are the taxes and/or duty managed?
Every country has its own taxes for wines and spirits, during your order process our sales manager will support you and let you know all detailed taxes for your country.

How can I pay my invoices?
We accept all the most used credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, bank transfer or cash on delivery (extra fee).
What happens if the bottle has cork problems?
Our sales manager will assist you and check what we can do.
Before every order confirm we tell our client the cork policy per every bottle, this depends on the supplier.
We always try to source wines from suppliers with bottle refund.
Only full bottles with the original cork can be taken in consideration for a possible change.
Oxidized/bad bottles are not refunded.
Do you buy all the wines?
No, we buy only wines with a market value and perfect conditions.
Do you charge anything to evaluate my cellar?
No, we do not charge anything. We only ask for detailed picture for every bottle and we will give you a free evaluation as soon as possible.
